Join faculty from across USF and community partners representing service organizations around the Bay Area for a two-day intensive seminar on Graduate-Level Community-Engaged Learning** (see full schedule). The seminar is designed to both infuse community-engaged philosophies and practices into courses and meet genuine community-identified needs. Within this creative, supportive, and diverse group, participants will: 
  • Explore the concept of community 
  • Create working definitions of community engagement and related pedagogies 
  • Discover how community engagement can enhance student learning and advance USF’s mission 
  • Learn about and contribute to best practices in developing and maintaining community partnerships 
  • Explore practical tools and frameworks for assessment and reflection 
  • Develop community-engaged project ideas with potential community partners 
Eligible Participants: Novice to experienced community-engaged educators and community partners

REGISTRATION FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED BY WEDNESDAY, NOV. 27. The first 30 registrants will receive one of three books on community engagement.
