The University of San Francisco’s Office of Diversity Engagement and Community Outreach, the Graduate Program in Sport Management, and  Leadership California present a forum featuring the role of women in sports in the Golden State. The California Issues & Trends Program (CIT) created by Leadership California brings together a unique and diverse cross section of women leaders from across California communities. CIT gives them knowledge and connections around the big issues and trends facing California, and enables them to lead change in their own areas of influence. This session of the 2013 CIT program, created in partnership with USF, will explore the world of sports with a focus on women’s engagement in it. The panel will feature an interview-style conversation with women leaders from the sports industry, telling their personal success stories including the challenges they faced.

Panelists Include:
  • Lindsay Ray, Director of Operations & Coach Marketing, CBS MaxPreps
  • Debra Gore-Mann, Chief Development Officer, University of California-Berkeley Alumni Association
  • Gloria Nevarez, Adjunct Professor, USF and Sr. Associate Commissioner/Sr. Woman Administrator, PAC-12
  • Joanne Pasternack, Director, Community Relations, 49ers Foundation & San Francisco 49ers
