Nearly 19% of Americans suffer from some sort of mental illness; emergency room visits for mental health or substance abuse issues have increased significantly in the past several years. Health Technology Forum's Code-a-thon, hosted and sponsored by the University of San Francisco, offers groups of hackers, health professionals and researchers an exciting environment to design new approaches that engage and empower patients in the recovery process.

HTF’s annual Code-a-thon presents a special opportunity for innovators in the mental health space to create solutions and sharpen their skills. Teams will come together with a common goal of solving today’s health issues. They’ll generate ideas, create code, and then pitch their prototypes to judges and peers. USF students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate!
