This talk will share the evolution and experience of bringing mindfulness programs to students and educators, the inspiring results and research to date, as well as the vision for where this work can lead our next generation. To date, the Mindful Schools program (http://www.mindfulschools.org/) has trained over 3,500 educators and adults, and worked with some 30,000 children.

Megan Cowan is Co-founder and Program Director of Mindful Schools in Oakland, California. She comes to the work of mindfulness in education with over 15 years of formal and intensive mindfulness training, a background in teaching and education, and a degree from UC Berkeley in Alternative Health.
