Tea Around the World

Monday, Nov. 18 | 6:00- 7:30 p.m.

Maier Room, Fromm Hall

Join us for an exploration of tea history, culture, and health benefits. After a tea tasting and light refreshments, experts James Norwood Pratt and Larry Chin will discuss tea in its global and cultural contexts, from China, India, Africa, and beyond.

Larry Chin, owner of Pure Puer Tea - Pure Puer Tea, a Marin-based company specializing in one of the highest quality puer teas in the world, offers hand picked tea from large-leaf tea trees that grow in the remote misty mountains of Yunnan, China.

James Norwood Pratt, author of The Ultimate Tea Lover’s Treasury, is possibly the world’s most widely-read authority on tea, thanks to books translated into multiple languages and numerous columns, articles, and interviews. His landmark James Norwood Pratt’s Tea Dictionary was named Best New Publication by the World Tea Expo in 2010.

This event is free and open to the public.
