Unearthed: USF's Hidden History
Lecture and Tour by Gallery Director, Thomas Lucas, SJ
October 29, 2:30pm-3:30pm, UC 402/403
Ever wonder what was here before USF? Ever wonder what happened to San Francisco cemeteries? Join Thomas Lucas, SJ, University Professor of Art + Architecture and Gallery Director as he tell us about the macabre history of the current USF site -- a history of cemeteries in San Francisco -- through the funereal objects found during excavations at USF. The talk will end with a brief tour to the sculpture terrace. This event is in conjunction with the exhibition, "Unearthed: USF's Hidden History" on display on the Kalmanovitz Hall Sculpture Terrace, 3rd Floor rooftop, through December 16.
