Keynote lecture by Aryeh Kosman (Em. John Whitehead Professor of Philosophy at Haverford College), who will explain the main ideas of his recently published book “The Activity of Being” (Harvard University Press).

Reading/discussion sessions of passages in Aristotle pertinent to Kosman’s thesis on the Activity of Being.

The newly founded Bay Area Colloquium in Ancient Philosophy (BayCAP)
organizes colloquia in the San Francisco Bay Area in order to foster
dialogue between philosophers in ancient philosophy. This inaugural
