University of San Francisco’s Department of Media Studies is hosting... 

 "The Point is to Change It: Media Democracy and Democratic Media in Action 

This conference is co-sponsored by the Union for Democratic Communications and Project Censored, and brings together researchers, academics and media justice activists from across North America, China, India, Europe and the Middle East in over forty panels and six special multi-media presentations. 

Special program highlights include keynotes by Daniel Ellsberg and Davey D on Friday evening, and a banquet keynote by Yuezhi Zhao and music by the Steve Carter Trio on Saturday evening. 

All USF students, faculty and staff are invited to attend all panels, multi-media presentations and Friday evening keynotes for free.
