legislative process? Would you like to gain firsthand experience working
in state government? Have you always wanted to learn from practitioners
at the top of their fields and network with political professionals?
If so, consider attending this info session about the McCarthy Fellows Summer Program in Sacramento.
What it is: A 10-week
summer program open to students with a cumulative 3.0 GPA and sophomore
standing or higher, including those graduating this year. Participants
will be placed in full-time, highly coveted
internships in state legislative and executive offices. They will
simultaneously be enrolled in a California
Politics academic seminar (4 units). Students will also have
the opportunity to meet, learn from and network with a variety of public
service officials during their one-week program orientation. Housing within
walking distance of the state capitol is also provided.

Orientation includes speakers from: Legislative

reception with legislators and staff.
