Dear USF Community,
On behalf of the Office of the President and University Ministry, you are cordially invited to the annual Mass of the Holy Spirit and BBQ on Monday, August 18, at 5:00 p.m. in St. Ignatius Church and Welch Field.
The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a tradition in Jesuit education dating back to the 16th century. Members of all faiths are invited to this common prayer for the Spirit's inspiration and guidance in living out our mission of educating leaders who will fashion a more humane and just world for all. As part of the liturgy, we will announce the recipients of the Pedro Arrupe and Spirit of St. Francis awards.
Following the liturgy, Student Leadership & Engagement is hosting a BBQ for the congregation on Welch Field to provide an opportunity for faculty, staff and students to meet incoming students and to reconnect with one another after the summer months.
All USF community members are invited to sing in the choir. If interested, please email Paul McWilliams at email@example.com. The choir will rehearse in the Church before the Mass at 4:00 p.m.
Faculty are invited to participate in the academic procession. Please meet in the sacristy at 4:45 p.m. with regalia (academic regalia will be available in the sacristy for those who don’t have their own).
For more information please contact University Ministry at 415-422-4463 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
