Perspectives on Students Who Learn Differently: Their Challenges and Gifts
Presenter: Fr. Ralph Metts, S.J.
Fomer president of the Jesuit Secondary Education Association (JSEA) and an advocate of students with learning differences. He earned his doctorate in Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Objectives:
- To explore students who are experiencing academic difficulties from a variety of lenses to assess both their strengths and limitations.
- To examine current brain research and its implications for learning.
- To provide an opportunity for participants to analyze and discuss challenging student situations.
