The panel intends to bridge the gap between International Studies and Psychology by illustrating the importance of therapy in helping individuals who have suffered traumas of past wars, political repression, or exploitation. Professionals working with marginalized people across the globe will recount their experiences in a panel setting and will engage in an informative discussion about the complexities they face when addressing psychological issues on an international scale. Speakers will also emphasize the significance of understanding a region’s political and social atmosphere when working abroad.
