Mananitas Mass & Breakfast, Honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe

December 12th, 2012 5:00am

Mission Dolores Basilica, Corner of 16th & Dolores Streets

3321 Sixteenth Street, San Francisco, CA 94114-1712

The Guadalupe Society of MIssion Dolores Basilica cordially invites you to this very early, beautiful, and colorful mass honoring the Virgin of Guadalupe (whom the Holy Father has named the Empress of the Americas).

Our celebration commences at the school auditorium and processes to the front of the Basilica. There, the serenaders and a mariachi band will burst out in joyful song praising Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Bishop William J. Justice will be the main celebrant. Our Pastor, Father Arturo Albano and his associates will concelebrate. Our traditional yearly service continues to grow. Along with the mariachi band, the elite Knights of Colombus Color Corps in full uniforms will escort the procession. Last year, over 1500 people attended.

After the service, there will be a light breakfast of tamales, hot chocolate or coffee, and Mexican pastries for the early risers. Free parking is available in the schoolyard; entrance on Church Street between 16th and 17th streets.
