Women Changing the World Through Science and Innovation

The opening of the University of San Francisco's John Lo Schiavo, S.J. Center for Science and Innovation will be celebrated with three symposia, at which leading thinkers in the Bay Area science and technology communities will address the theme: Changing the World through Science and Innovation. Panelists will discuss how science and technology innovations are contributing to a more humane and just world for all peoples, including marginalized populations. The first symposia is titled "Women Changing the World Through Science and Innovation" and will be moderated by Margaret Tempero, Director, UCSF Pancreas Cancer Center, USF Trustee.
- 5:00-6:00 p.m. Panel of experts moderated by Margaret Tempero, Director of UCSF Pancreas Cancer Center and USF Trustee.
- 6:00 p.m. Display of USF student research projects
- 6:30-7:30 p.m. Reception in the Lo Schiavo, S.J. Science Center
